Reuben Sandwich
New Yorkers will insist the Reuben was invented at a Jewish deli in NYC. Nebraskans say the modern interpretation of the Reuben – with corned beef and sauerkraut – was born at a historic hotel in Omaha. While its origins may be the subject of hot debate, restaurants and diners all over Omaha don’t much seem to care, and each takes pride in making its own unique variation. Your cardiologist might not suggest a Reuben crawl through Omaha, but it’s quite the delicious experience.
