Navajo Taco

With a hearty nod to Tucson’s iconic Sonoran Dog, no Arizona food satisfies quite like the Navajo Taco. Also known as Native American fry bread tacos, these delicacies come served inside fluffy, deep-fried shells similar to the Elephant Ears you find at a carnival. They’re then filled with refried beans, lettuce, salsa, and either ground beef or steak chunks. The best ones are typically found at roadside stands near Native American reservations, where the meat stews all day.
