There are something like 71 streets in Atlanta with some variety of “Peachtree” in the name, and peaches appear on the state’s license plates. So getting a peach while you’re in Georgia is pretty obvious. Sure, you could grab one at any number of farmers’ markets or roadside produce stands, and it would probably be the best peach of your life. But wouldn’t it be better heated up with butter and sugar under a crumbly crust with a scoop of ice cream? Of course it would.
